It Just Doesn’t Matter!

I have decided to go back to where I last finished the Workbook. Initially, I had said that I wanted to start from the beginning again because I hadn’t “done” the Course in quite some time. However, after chatting with my friend, Mark, he said that it really doesn’t matter where I read in the Course, even if I have been away from it in a while. So, I went back to Lesson 158 today. I am still starting the Text from the beginning, however. It just feels like the right thing to do. Since it feels right, that is what I am going to do. His statement reminded us both of the scene from “Meatballs” with Bill Murray when they start chanting, “It just doesn’t matter! It just doesn’t matter! It just doesn’t matter!”

The same is true with reading A Course In Miracles. It just doesn’t matter when you read it. It just doesn’t matter how you read it. It just doesn’t matter where you start to read it. Remember, “It is a required course. Only the time you take it is voluntary.” That is quite a freeing statement if ever there was one. I don’t have to proselytize. I don’t have to convince people to read it. I don’t have to witness. I don’t have to preach. I don’t have to walk through neighborhoods and knock on doors. It just doesn’t matter. Doesn’t that just seem more real? I can’t imagine anything more likely to be from God than the fact that I don’t have to do anything about others, I only have to work on my own perception of what I see. It all starts within my own mind.
